The Monkey Flower Group designs exclusively with local plant materials.
In addition to those grown by neighboring farmers and respectfully foraged from the landscape, we also grow materials for our own use. We focus most heavily on bearded iris, narcissus, and tiger lilies, but also grow many California natives and other perennials that are well-adapted to our climate and design needs including lambs ear, silver bush lupine, milkweed, anemone, passionvine, alstroemeria, manzanita, echinacea, yarrow, rehmannia, pieris, dogwood, allium, daphne, ceanothus, rosemary, carnations, and of course our namesake, monkey flower.
